    Saddam’s Hanging an International Abomination

    By Gary Morton
    December.30.2006

Hooded officials of the new Iraqi government had the pleasure of having Saddam handed over by his American jailers to execute him at the start of the sacred  Muslim festival Eid al-Adha. They taunted him, took cell phone video that they broadcast over the Internet and chanted the name of Muqtada al-Sadr, militia leader and Shiite cleric. Calmly holding a copy of the Quran, Saddam’s face returned to defiance as he refused to allow a black hood over his head. They told Saddam to Go To Hell! and cheered after his death, calling him things like the garbage of history as they relished the sound of his snapping bones. They witnessed his bloodied cheek and twisted neck in a white shroud. In Baghdad Shiites danced in the streets and fired their guns into the sky in celebration of the neck breaking. Nearby insurgents unleashed another bombing sending more than seventy innocent civilians to the altar of American bred Muslim civil war. As the noose closed on Saddam, it also closed on Iraq. Muqtada's perceived involvement means no peace deal between the Shiites and the Sunnis and a dramatic increase in the hellish violence tearing the nation apart.

Saddam’s crime was not in threatening the human race with weapons of mass destruction as none were found. It was the killing of 148 Shiites in 1982. That being one small crime of the many heinous crimes committed in his lifetime as a mass murderer and strongman in Iraq.

Saddam, though carrying the Quran, was in his time seen as a secular ruler of Iraq. He allowed alcohol and other abominations. His power and position garnered from America as he was their dictator. It was only later in life that he turned on his masters, was deposed through shock and awe, and left a vacuum in Iraq that only holy war and mass death could replace.

This hanging got televised, but not the actual neck snapping, and the death holds bizarre parallels to the death of Jesus.

There was the sense of this all being done quickly in the middle of the night, with elements of the Iraqi theocracy (or occupation democracy) and American imperialist rulers in agreement that this was the bloody way of winning some temporary support from the masses. Without a doubt Saddam was a criminal, but now the details of his many crimes will not be heard in court. The US has silenced him, making it certain that the finger of war crimes involvement will not be pointed at America. And it does smack of revenge just as Jesus’ death was the swift and orchestrated revenge of a jealous theocracy and imperial Rome.

Serious questions remain concerning justice. God’s justice is that men should not kill nor make that final judgment on a person’s life. Surely an old man like Saddam could have been imprisoned until he perished.

Hundreds of thousands have died in the terror that has reigned since Saddam’s removal from power. The question remains as to whether there is anyone in the Iraqi power structure without bloody hands. The Iraqi government of Nuri al-Maliki runs death squads, the police are killers, the military worse, and the insurgents agents of mass death. America itself brought us Saddam as ruler of Iraq and George Bush is the man that brought us shock and awe, Abu Ghraib, Falluja, and many other horrors.

Now George Bush has established a new precedent: The Abomination of International Hanging, for the entire world to see. The hidden priests of Baal’s mysterious global order have again donned holy masks of God to shed blood on our behalf. On the altar an iniquitous man is slain and bloodied, by other fiendish men. His blood is far from being an atonement for sin like Christ’s. Instead it is an abomination and reminder of worldwide sin in the face of God and humankind. An attempt to leave us all participants of the noose and spiritually unclean.

Surely some elements of a backward Muslim Theocracy and Imperial America rule in 2006/7, showing us all that the fellow war mongers that betray them can be found guilty and hung.

But does Satan fight Satan? Certainly not. The unholy Saddam has risen from the dead in the incarnation of blood and sin on all of our hands.

George Bush has now achieved new heights and international stature as the man who has brought the corruption of the death penalty to the entire earth. Done so Saddam would never testify to American weapons and support for many of his war crimes. This is evil and not justice, yet Bush pretends he has brought this to us from God and on the behalf of the holy powers of democracy.
